“Blind” is the record that showed Feder was more than a one-hit act. Released in November 2015, after his chart-topping “Goodbye”, it paired the producer from Nice with singer Emmi and climbed to No. 5 in France early in 2016.
Who is Feder?
Feder is Hadrien Federiconi, a French DJ from Nice, born on 5 September 1987 and now based in Paris. He first drew attention in 2014 with “Sixto”, his remix of Rodriguez’s “Can’t Get Away”. In 2015 “Goodbye”, sung by Lyse, went to No. 1 in France, Switzerland and Wallonia and into the top ten in Germany, Austria and Spain. The same year he was named Best New French DJ at the NRJ DJ Awards and signed with Atlantic Records, part of Warner Music.
Making Blind
For the follow-up, Federiconi wrote with Emily Green — the British-Australian singer known as Emmi — and Joachim Masson, and produced the track himself. Emmi, born in Torquay, England, also sang on Sonny Alven’s “Our Youth” that year, and released her own singles “My Kinda Swag”, “Sleep on It” and “60 Minutes”. In 2016 she sang “Blind Pig” on the soundtrack of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The single runs 3:14: a short, radio-sized house track built around her voice.

It also reached No. 14 on Hungary’s dance chart and No. 21 on the CIS Tophit chart, and a Red Max remix picked up airplay in Russia.

The same year he produced and co-wrote Mylène Farmer’s album Désobéissance.
